About me and behind the business name
My name is Chaylea, and I have been doing photography since I could press the shutter button! I mainly found a real interest in it when I was about 12. I found it as a really great way to express myself, and actually did a lot of abstract photography. Through the school projects and fair entries, I grew a lot in my love for all types of photography. Later down the line in life I got married to my best friend and not too long after, I found myself pregnant with the little man who is now the inspiration of my business name! With so much going on, my photography came to a pause until my firstborn arrived. Shortly after, I then started my business and named it after him! We came up with the name Eraeth, or Era for short! Hence my punny and perfect business name; My Favorite Era! Since then, we've also welcomed a beautiful little girl, Genesis into the family. After realizing that I wanted to have my own favorite eras captured in photographs, including moments of my kids, my family, and my life, I really got into lifestyle and portrait photography. Now I enjoy capturing those moments for other families- whether that be in family, wedding, newborn,
maternity or senior portraits.
